I am passionate about treating mums, mum’s to be, babies  and kids. Being a mother was how I came into homeopathy and I have used this form of medicine almost exclusively in   my family. I have witnessed how basic knowledge can lighten the work of a busy mum. Using Arnica can quieten a shocked child after a fall, colic remedies may relieve the otherwise painful hours of crying, Belladonna may help with fevers and Chamomilla for teething.

I encourage all my clients to buy a basic homeopathy kit from one of the big pharmacies: Helios or Ainsworths. With this many of the most common ailments can be addressed at home avoiding extra visits to the doctors or sleepless nights and worrying. For any emergency or lingering condition I always recommend attending a doctor or hospital.

With the support of homeopathy pregnancy may be easier and may help with morning sickness and cramps. There are birthing kits which are designed to be used by the parents in the hospital setting and can help facilitate with the birthing process.

When childhood ailments are addressed homoeopathically the use of medicines associated with side effects e.g. antibiotics and steroids can at times be avoided. This can make a big difference to children's lives and this is why I am so eager to help at this stage of life. This is where I feel the biggest difference can be made with Homeopathy. Many of my patients are children and I worked with many cases concentrating on both the physical eg Eczema and emotional eg Bed wetting, sleep disorders etc.. Being a mother myself I appreciate the support of effective alternative therapies.

NAET® is a very effective treatment for childhood allergies. There are no scratch tests involved and children are not given the allergen and then observed until they have symptoms. This is a safe gentle approach for children which can also be fun. Allergies can be an indication of nutritional assimilation problems and  NAET® as with homeopathy can provide timely help and may avoid long term issues.  NAET® may help avoid the concerns of your allergic child eating the wrong food at parties. Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is an excellent technique for children to easily release emotions in a fun and interactive way. The tapping technique can address issues or bullying, phobias and fears, eating issues, exam anxiety. I have also worked with Autistic, Dyslexic, Dyspraxic children and have helped them deal with the issues that arise from these conditions.  This method can also be used throughout pregnancy and in particular during the birth process. During treatment I will always provide details of how to self-tap in order to empower the child or mother to work with this technique in their own time.

Once again I integrate the various methods to combining or selecting specific treatments to provide the most effective treatment for the child.
